Day 1 - Flight to Izmir from Istanbul, Church of Smyrna // Overnight in Pergamon
Meet your guide upon arrival in Izmir airport and drive to Church of
Smyrna. After exploring Smyrna Archeological Park, you will drive to Bergama
city for the night. Visit Asclepieon before checking in to your hotel.
Day 2 - Visit the Church of Pergamon, Acropolis and Temple
of Zeus // Overnight in Pergamon
You
will drive 2 hours to modern city Pergamon to see the Church of Pergamon in the
morning. Your next stop will be Acropolis on the mountain top overlooking the
modern day Pergamon city where stands the most important Hellenistic city of
Anatolia. Phenomenal views of fertile Bakircay plains will company you as you
walk among the ancient city of Pergamon. You will see the palaces, city walls,
cisterns, temples and finish your journey under the huge pine trees of the
Temple of Zeus which is mentioned in the bible as well. After lunch in the old
town of Pergamon, you will explore the Asclepieion ancient hospital which is one
of the two of the Hellenistic world. You will drive to your hotel for the night.
Day 3 - Visit the Church of
Thyatria, Sardis and Philadelphia // Overnight in Pamukkale
Visit
the Church of Thyatria on the way to Sardis. You will arrive to the Church of
Thyatria and spend another hour there before driving 1 hour to Sardis Ancient
city which houses the Church of Sardis. After exploring Sardis, you will drive
1 hour to Alasehir to explore the Church of Philadelphia. You will continue to
your hotel in Pamukkale for the night.
Day 4 - Visit the Church of Laodicea and Martyrdom of
Saint Philip in Hierapolis // Overnight in Pamukkale
You will visit the Laodicea ancient city to see the Church of Laodicea.
After lunch in Pamukkale with beautiful views of the world famous white
travertines, you will drive to Hierapolis ancient city to explore the
archeological site of Hierapolis and the Martyrdom of Saint Philip the Apostle.
You will be able to see the pool of Cleopatra, Roman baths and walk over the
white travertines of Pamukkale before driving to your hotel.
Day 5 - The House of the Virgin Mary, Church of Ephesus
and Basilica of Saint John // Overnight in Kusadasi
You
will drive 3 hours after breakfast in your hotel in Pamukkale. You will first
visit the House of the Virgin Mary. After lunch in Selcuk town, you will visit
the Ancient city of Ephesus to see the Church of Ephesus. Your last stop will
be Basilica of Saint John. You will drive to your hotel for the night.
Day 6 - Private transfer from Kusadasi Hotel to Izmir
Airport to catch a flight to Istanbul, End of our services…
